From book-printing tradition to a new Komori GL837P

It is not very common for a printing company focused primarily on packaging to also develop a strong book-printing business. But there are exceptions - and Regrafas in Kaunas is one of them.
Kaunas has a long tradition of book production. For many years, one of the best-known and largest book printing companies in the region was Spindulys, with a history stretching from the Soviet period well into modern Lithuania.
When Spindulys closed, its printing tradition did not simply disappear. A number of highly experienced specialists and press operators found a new professional home at Regrafas, bringing with them many years of knowledge and craftsmanship in demanding print production.
Today, Regrafas operates three Komori presses, all equipped with coating units. Much of the production involves PMS colors and repeat jobs - work where consistency from one production run to the next is just as important as the quality of the first sheet.
What particularly distinguishes Regrafas is its strong quality discipline and the responsibility its team takes for every job.
Publishers noticed this.
Over time, more and more book projects began finding their way to Regrafas - particularly demanding books and technically challenging jobs that many other printing companies are less willing to accept.
Against this background, the next investment was a very logical step.
The oldest press is now being replaced by Regrafas’ first 8-color Komori GL837P perfector - opening a new chapter for the company and significantly expanding its capabilities in high-quality and efficient book production.
A strong printing tradition, experienced people and modern technology are always a good combination.
Congratulations to the entire Regrafas team on this important investment. We wish you successful production, many interesting and challenging jobs - and, above all, many satisfied customers!
